CODE OF THE LAND

BUGS AND EXPLOITS

As T4C is still under development, there are occasions when certain bugs in the game can be exploited to the great benefit of players who know how to use them to their advantage. There are also in-game macros & utilities that can be used which can cause server lag or crashes and player lag or crashes. Players who are caught exploiting any such bugs or tools to either gain for themselves, or cause others harm will first be warned. If ongoing problems occur, we reserve the right to suspend or even delete accounts. Players are asked to report any bugs or exploits to Abyssnet Support for our review.

LANGUAGE

Keep swearing to a minimum. Nobody wants to hear rude or contemptuous chatter. Respect others, and you will be respected. Any foul language or innuendo made in the presence of a GM, or reported to a GM by another player will first result in a verbal warning. A second occurrence will result in a temporary suspension of shouting, paging, or chatting rights, any or all that apply. A third offense will result in a longer term suspension of your rights to communicate in-game, and you will have to earn those privileges back. Ongoing problems may result in a suspension or deletion of your account.

This includes Masking and words such as:

@#%^#^$&%$&

Hell, damn (like it or not), crap, and the sort, others will be listed as need arises

PVP AND PKING

Player versus player (PvP) combat is not permitted here at Abyssnet during regular game-play. To truly enforce this rule, server settings for PvP are off at all times, except for during a formal PvP event hosted by the GMs. During a PvP event, server settings will allow full PvP between all levels for the event, but that will NOT mean a free-for-all!!! Rules for a PvP event will be posted in advance, and significant penalties will apply to players who break those rules. If you are found to be leading monsters to players who are away from the keyboard (*AFK*) in order to cause their death, you could find yourself in over your head in a roomful of nasties.

TERITORIAL RIGHTS

All players are encouraged to share amongst themselves the wealth of the lands of T4C. No player can lay claim to high-spawn monster fighting areas, if another player comes along and wishes to fight in the same area as you, they have every right to do so. As the number of players grows, there will obviously be less to go around in regular game-play. Be considerate of other players needs & rights – what goes around comes around. Players who steal kills might end up looking like a pig, for example.

RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES

If a dispute cannot be resolved between players amongst themselves, a GM may be called in to mediate. Any decision a GM makes in regards to resolving a dispute is final in that you cannot simply go to another GM to get a second opinion if you don’t like what the first one said. If you have been punished for an offence by a particular GM, and wish to have the punishment lifted, then you must speak with the GM who dealt the punishment in the first place. If you feel that they have been unjustly harsh in their decision, you can request an audience with Royal Court, where the King or Queen of the land will decide your ultimate fate. Requests for Royal Court which involve anything other than player versus GM conflicts will be dismissed out of hand. Decisions made at Royal Court are absolutely final, and once made, the issue will be considered closed.
